What is cd-ms?

Charge Detection Mass Spectrometry (CD-MS) is a new way of analyzing viral capsids, lipid-based nanoparticles and large protein complexes.

CD-MS measures the mass of particles in a sample one by one, so you know exactly what's inside of it. This works on any biomolecule up to 1GDa, from AAVs to ribosomes to LNPs.

Example of real AAV8 packaging data.

CD-MS was used to characterize AAV packing efficiency, measuring the spectrum of full, partially loaded and empty capsids by mass.

Each data point on this chart is a single capsid that was measured individually, presenting the highest level of precision and interpretability.
CD-MS outperforms legacy methods like AUC and SEC-MALS on every axis.

Data Quality
CD-MS analyzes individual particles one by one, producing the highest possible level of precision and interpretability.

By contrast, AUC and SEC-MALS, measure noisy aggregate data.
